Commercial Management

In 2003 Unimars purchased the m/v”Presto”, operated it for about 6 months and sold it afterwards. During this time the company gained the first experience in operation and management of the vessels and started to develop a structure of shipping department.

In period of 2004-2007 the company purchased 14 vessels, gradually building up a structure of ship management and maintenance – commercial department, technical management department. Afterwards those departments were transformed into individual affiliated companies – Uniship, which carries out technical management and Unimars Shipping Company, which carries out commercial management.
 
Today the Unimars Shipping Co is a command of the highly qualified experts who are carrying out full ship management activities, including - commercial operations and chartering of the vessels, financial accounting, technical management, «ISM» (International Safety Management) and crewing for the vessels.
The Shipping department of Unimars Group today comprising two subsidiary companies: “Unimars Shipping Company Ltd.”, which main activity is ships’ commercial management, ship’s sale and purchase, dry cargo chartering, consulting. “Uniship Ltd.” – ships’ technical management, crew management.
 
Today Unimars Shipping Company Ltd. has under its’ management following vessels: fleet list.
 
The mv”SKIF” is operated by the company on basis of long term commercial management agreement, but mv”WINDLAND” is on long term time-charter till 2010 with purpose to increase the total tonnage of the Company and in order to fulfil the company’s current contracts of affreightment.
 
The Vessels controlled by the company, but delivered to Bareboat charter to other charters/owners with purchase option upon completion of the Bareboat-charter period.
 
Today the company is well known on the European and Baltic shipping market, as reliable provider of full ship management, and also as international short sea cargo carrier and operator of owned and chartered tonnage and also as chartering ship broker, sale and purchase broker, consulting services provider in the field of sea carriage and maritime transport.
